We first visited the Grand Royal Palace which had awesome temples and statues etc. But it was soooo warm! We were melting in front of our eyes! All the gold plating on the temples seemed to intensify the suns rays ten fold so that we were most likely burnt before we even had time to register that we were warm.
Pretty much all the other temples in Thailand were then the same. Like really. This is where the "Seen one, seen them all!" expression must come from!
